Newton HydroTank 302 Injection Hose

Damptec Systems Ltd was contracted to tank a newbuild basement in Derby with a Type A and C combined waterproofing system.

As part of the Type A system we used Newton HydroTank 302 Injection Hose, a waterbar system for sealing construction joints in earth-retaining and water-retaining concrete structures.  This system allows us to seal micro cracks and capillaries in particular where the concrete is poorly compacted.  In this instance the product fully seals the voids.

The injection hose contains micro-parts which when pressure is applied open and inject material deep into the concrete around the joint filling sealing the joint and any areas of porosity in the concrete.

This system improves the water-tightness of Type B systems as it improves the quality of the concrete substrate at the same time as sealing the joints.

This product can only be applied by trained contractors with an understanding of waterproofing retaining structures and training in its use.

This is the first stage of work on site and will be followed by the installation of a Type C drained protection system.
